Fisherman’s Village is surrounded by water. Situated between the streams and Pete’s pond it’s home to the one-bedroom Pondside Cabin with full bath and kitchenette with an amazing sink view, grill, and porch swing; the fishing retreat of the four cozy sized Confluence Tent Sites amongst tall trees on the stream banks, each with a fire pit and communal picnic tables; and coming soon: the Fisherman’s Sleeping Porch. We have tent site check-in parking a 5-minute stroll around the pond at the camp store and we provide gear bellhop assistance, if requested.
The pondside cabin was built a few years ago with all the comforts of home. Including a full bath, kitchenette with apartment sized fridge and oven, combined living and dining area, and covered porch. Outside there is parking for up to two vehicles, an artesian-crafted porch swing, and gas bbq grill all pondside. The view out the kitchen window makes clean-up time a pleasure. The cabin accommodates 4 guests in its private bedroom and on the sleeper sofa. Enjoy the quirky art décor and crack a window and listen to the river flow. AC and electric heat, basic dinnerware and cooking implements included along with a coffee pot. Parking for one vehicle and you can fish jus off the porch, catch a trout, and cook it for dinner.
Camping at the confluence is about a five minute walk from the bathhouse, camp store, and parking. You may borrow our wagon to cart your gear to your site. Each site has its own access from the pond. Each site has a fire ring, and everyone shares a picnic table at the confluence. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome as long as the owners clean up after them. Sites are best suited for two-four people with tents smaller than 8x10. Sites are a few feet from the water. Site #17 is a bit larger and closer to the pond. There is an awesome swimming hole at the confluence. Sleep between the pond and the river on the back side of camp, or stay up all night fishing in the pond. The confluence is one of the special places on the property.
We sustainably select the right trees to cut and mill to provide the lumber for improvements at Camp Holly. Under direction from our neighbor and resident Hall of Fame Woodchopper, Lil Bill Cogar, we are working hard to build this beautiful masterpiece between the river and the pond.
The Sleepin' Porch will serve as a shelter for those late night folks looking for a big cat, or early rising trout masters to go wading down river looking for the best holes to fish.
We anticipate completion in 2022, so check back for updates.
We have a stocked fishin’ pond with trout, bass, catfish, and all the bluegill you could catch in a day. Fishing passes are cheaper than a WV fishing license, and odds are good you can catch dinner.
We are bordered by Grassy Creek on one side and Holly River on the other with a 3 acre fishing pond between the two. Have a fire, listen to the water flow, and enjoy all nature has to offer.
